Round Turn Cost
Costs & FeesThe full cost of opening and closing one position — spread, both commission legs, and any swap — expressed as a single per-lot figure.
Round turn cost is the total charge for opening and then closing one position — the complete cycle — rather than a single leg of the trade. In forex it usually combines the spread paid on entry, any commission charged on both the opening and closing legs, and, if the position is carried past the daily cut-off, the accumulated swap. Quoting cost per round turn matters because brokers present fees in different ways: one shows a per-side commission, another the round-turn figure, and at a glance the two look very different. Traders comparing account types normally convert everything into a per-lot, per-round-turn number, so the spread-plus-commission structure of one account can be measured fairly against another account's wider all-in spread.
