Account Balance
FundamentalsThe value of a trading account from closed trades and cash movements only — it doesn't include the P/L of positions still open.
Account balance is the total value of funds in a trading account from closed trades, deposits, and withdrawals — it doesn't reflect the running profit or loss of any positions still open. Balance only changes when a trade is closed, a deposit is made, or a fee or swap charge is applied.
Compare balance to equity to see how your open positions are currently performing: if equity is well below balance, you're sitting on unrealized losses.
