Funded Account
Brokers & RegulationAn account funded by a prop firm, traded under its rules for a share of the profits. Capital is often notional rather than live.
A funded account is a trading account whose capital belongs to a proprietary trading firm rather than to you. You trade it under the firm's rules and keep an agreed share of the profits — commonly 70% to 90%.
The capital is usually notional: you are trading a simulated account that mirrors real conditions, and the firm hedges or takes the other side as it chooses. That does not make payouts fake, but it does mean your recourse if a payout is refused is the contract, not a regulator.
