Signal Provider

Platforms & Tools

A trader or service publishing entry and exit signals that subscribers follow manually or copy automatically into their own accounts.

A signal provider is a trader or service that publishes entry and exit instructions which subscribers either follow manually or have copied automatically into their own accounts. Trading signals may arrive through a platform's built-in marketplace, a messaging channel or an email list, and typically state the instrument, direction, entry area, stop-loss and take-profit. Providers are usually paid a subscription fee or a share of profits. The limitations deserve attention: a published track record may cover a short period or be shown without drawdown detail, latency between publication and execution changes the price actually obtained, and a position sized for the provider's account can represent very different risk on a smaller one.
