Client Portal

Platforms & Tools

The broker's account area outside the trading terminal — verification, funding, statements and support, and where most of the friction actually lives.

The client portal is the broker's account area, separate from the trading terminal: it is where identity verification is completed, deposits and withdrawals are made, additional accounts are opened, statements and tax documents are downloaded, a leverage change is requested and a support ticket is raised. The terminal executes trades; the portal administers the relationship. It is worth exploring before funding rather than after, because the portal is where the friction lives. Check that withdrawal follows the deposit route back and what it asks for, that statements export in a format you can actually use, that two-factor authentication is available on the portal and not only on the terminal, and that the entity named across the portal's documents is the entity you expected to be contracting with. A portal that makes depositing effortless and withdrawing obscure is telling you something before any money has moved.
