Account Statement

Platforms & Tools

The broker's authoritative record of every deal, commission, swap and cash movement. It is where the true cost of trading appears as its own total.

An account statement is the broker's authoritative record of what happened on an account: every deal with its open and close price, the commission and swap charged against it, the running balance, and the deposits and withdrawals that moved cash in and out. Platforms export it as HTML, PDF or CSV over any date range you choose. It is worth pulling regularly rather than at the point of dispute. A tax return, a prop-firm review and a complaint to a regulator are all built from the statement rather than from screenshots, and it is the one place the true cost of trading appears as a total — commission and swap sit in their own columns, apart from the profit figure the platform shows. Exports also outlive the relationship: closed accounts get archived, and continued access to them is never guaranteed.
