Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC)
Брокеры и регулированиеCyprus's financial regulator — an EU license under MiFID II that lets a broker passport its services across the European Economic Area.
CySEC is Cyprus's financial regulator, and because Cyprus is an EU member state, a CySEC license lets a broker legally passport its services across the entire European Economic Area under MiFID II. It requires segregated client funds, participation in an investor compensation scheme, and compliance with ESMA's retail leverage limits.
CySEC has historically been a popular licensing jurisdiction for brokers targeting European retail clients, partly because it combines genuine EU-level regulation with a relatively accessible licensing process compared to some other EU regulators.
