Mobile App Parity

Platforms & Tools

What the phone app can do next to the desktop terminal. Missing order types and partial close are found mid-position unless you test them beforehand.

Mobile app parity is the question of what a broker's phone app can actually do next to its desktop terminal. The gap is rarely advertised and is usually discovered mid-position: pending order types missing, partial close unavailable, no expert advisors, a reduced set of chart objects, and on some builds no way to modify a stop that was attached from the desktop. It matters because the phone is what you will be holding when a position moves against you away from the desk. The test costs nothing and is worth running before it counts: open a minimum-size position on the app, attach a stop and a take-profit, close half of it, then check the order history reconciles with the desktop terminal. Whatever fails in that sequence is precisely what will fail on the day it matters.
