Market Scanner (Screener)

Platforms & Tools

A screener that filters many instruments against price, indicator and volatility conditions and returns only the current matches.

A market scanner, also called a screener, filters a whole universe of instruments against conditions you define and returns only the ones that currently match. Typical filters combine price behaviour, indicator readings, volatility measures such as average true range, spread and session time — for example, every major pair where RSI is below thirty and price sits within a set distance of a moving average. The point is coverage: instead of flipping through dozens of charts, a trader lets the scanner surface candidates and then examines them manually. Scanners describe conditions, not outcomes, so results still need context, and a filter tuned too narrowly can return almost nothing while a loose one buries useful setups.
