Sharia-Compliant Trading
Brokers & RegulationTrading structured to comply with Islamic finance principles, chiefly the ban on interest — delivered mainly via swap-free accounts.
Sharia-compliant trading refers to a trading account or product structured to comply with Islamic finance principles — chiefly the prohibition on riba (interest), but also restrictions on excessive speculation and certain asset classes. In forex, this is delivered mainly through swap-free accounts that replace overnight interest with a fixed fee.
Compliance standards can vary between brokers, and some go further by having their account structure reviewed and certified by a Sharia advisory board rather than simply removing the swap charge.
