VPS for Trading
Platforms & ToolsA remote, always-on server running a trading platform continuously — used to keep automated strategies live independent of a home connection.
A Virtual Private Server (VPS) for trading is a remote, always-on computer — typically hosted close to a broker's servers — that runs a trading platform and any automated strategies continuously, independent of a trader's own computer or internet connection. It's especially valuable for Expert Advisors and time-sensitive strategies that need to keep running even when a trader is offline or asleep.
Hosting a VPS near the broker's server location also reduces execution latency, which matters more for fast, high-frequency strategies than for longer-term position trading.
