VPS Hosting

Platforms & Tools

A remote server that keeps your platform and EAs running around the clock. Uptime is the real benefit; latency matters only for a few strategies.

A VPS (virtual private server) hosts your trading platform in a data centre so that expert advisors and copy-trading connections keep running when your own machine is off. The argument for one is uptime, not speed, unless the server sits in the same facility as your broker's matching engine — in which case the round trip falls from tens of milliseconds to under one, which matters for high-frequency strategies and for almost nobody else. Brokers often provide a free VPS above a deposit or volume threshold; that is a marketing cost to them, and it is a legitimate perk as long as it does not decide which broker you use.
